I bought a web slider phone today and it wont go on the internet?
when i press the web browser or boost live it says "a comunication error has ocurred" how do i fix this so i can go on myspace and msn?
You'll probably have to change some settings on the phone so that it will "talk" to the appropriate gateway and servers for your network. This is presuming that the phone has been unlocked from whatever network it may originally have been on or manufactured for (if any). What you'll usually need to do is create a new user profile for your internet and also for your picture messaging ("MMS"). Check online for the settings for your provider; it's just a matter of putting the settings into the profile, and setting that profile as the default for your phone.
It sounds like you're a Boost subscriber; if that's the case, it may not be able to go to Boost Live; that is often excluded by the company for which the phone is built. If you can pull the old wap profile out of the phone, then you might be able to use Boost's wap pages (they're the ones where you can buy ringtones, wallpapers, and similar things). You'll just have to determine which carrier is the original one for the phone. For instance, if it was AT&T, then the profile will be something like Cingular; if it's for T-Mobile, then it will say T-Mobile or Voicestream, and so on.
