How do I program a remote car starter?

The only information I have is the number on the board inside the remote. STBB-1
It has 4 buttons on the front one for remote start, lock, unlock and trunk lid.
Is there a generic way to program these or am I out of luck?
It is currently working with my 2003 Monte Carlo but I would also like to make use of the extra buttons and not have two large remotes on my keychain.
