In terminator the sarah connor chronicles does Cameron have free will? At the end of the first episode season 2 where she goes crazy and trys to kill john and they disable the chip when John puts it back in she has the action " Terminate " then John says something i forget and she changes her action, That's free will so she does have it?
Everything was fine with Cameron's reprogrammed chip, that kept the kill John Connor order OFF....until that chip became damaged--and opened that ugly box of worms.
But yes....Cameron DID choose to override the kill command on her own---but offered NO guarantees the kill command could resurface or a "backdoor" kill command may exist and activate her orders to kill.
That's why Cameron had the clever hidden explosive device installed in her chip---giving Connor the detonator.....just in case.
I think in the end, Cameron discovered both free will---and LOVE for John Connor; it's just in that love---came sacrifice.
