Change Purse

Are police allowed to open ur change purse in ur wallet?

When searching you i mean. Because the other day i had a bag in there and 2 cops searched me. They didnt find it, was i lucky or are they just not allowed to check it?
Yea they were just ****ing with me and searched me. They thought me and my boys were doing something wrong i guess.
Kk so by that if i had a weapon on me or a knife lets say, then are they allowed to check it?
We were just walking out of somewhere back out into the street. Its funny though u say they cant check like that, but i get frisked all the time and they never ask for my permission. They just ask if i have anything illegal they should know about.

That depends on the circumstances surrounding the search. If it was a search incident to your arrest, they can look anywhere that could hide something illegal. Or, if they had probable cause you were possessing drugs, the search would be allowed.

If you were not under arrest, and it was a "stop and frisk" (commonly called a "Terry Stop"), that is a protective search only, and is limited to weapons. The change purse would be off limits, unless it was large enough to hold a weapon.
